DIRECTOR'S PROFILE

Russell Easther is the founder and director of The Interactive Group established in 2006. He is an interactive marketing professional with experience from appointments on the worlds leading businesses and brands spanning three continents.

His career started in interactive marketing and media back to his university in the 1990's where he studied a Bachelor of Communications degree with a major in Advertising and minor in interactive multimedia. Choosing to complete his final year of study in the USA at the University of Missouri, he received specific training in e-marketing and moved to New York City upon completion to begin his interactive media career.

Russell moved back to Australia to hold a foundation position at Neo Digital, a sub agency of emitch, Australia's largest online media buying agency at the time. Russell was responsible for developing a major financial client and others reporting directly to the General Manager. Leaving Neo Digital to pursue an opportunity in Dubai, he took his online skills and knowledge to the Middle East and North Africa implementing marketing strategies with the region's major clients including Mercedes Benz Middle East.

Upon returning to Australia, Russell established the Interactive department of Carat in the Melbourne office. Tasked with educating and upskilling clients and internal staff across online media strategy, he grew several blue chip clients across a vast array of industries in a short time frame.

Over the years Russell has held positions as an interactive account executive, business development manager, interactive media manager and online marketing strategist. With foundations in marketing and advertising, combined with extensive experience in interactive production and specialising in connecting audiences with online environments, Russell is qualified and capable of devising and implementing effective online marketing strategy.

Outside of The Interactive Group, Russell furthers his interactive pursuits through involvement with interactive networking events, conducts training programs tutoring on behalf of ADMA (Australian Direct Marketing Association), contributes to 'Marketing Magazine' and completed a Certificate of Digital Marketing to complement his university degree.
